Mike has presented many classes, seminars, and workshops on stress management and wellness at the national, regional, and community level. Dr. Olpin’s teaching includes many areas of health and wellness but his primary focus remains on stress management, mind/body health, peak performance, mental and emotional wellness, and wellness coaching. He has presented papers and spoken at many conferences, workshops, and seminars around the country. In addition to these speaking engagements, he also consults with companies and businesses, sports teams and athletes, individuals, and other community groups.
Mike recently finished the fourth edition of a textbook he co-authored on stress management titled Stress Management for Life: A research-based experiential approach. This text is being used by colleges and universities around the country and Canada.
Mike has published two additional books on stress management: The World is NOT a Stressful Place: Stress relief for everyone. His most recent best-selling book is titled, “Unwind: 7 Principles for a Stress-Free Life” that was co-authored with Sam Bracken of the Franklin-Covey Corporation
Most recently, based on his online academic course and 30 years studying, teaching, and coaching people, he created online training to help people everywhere manage their stress. Best of all, Mike has been happily married for 29 years and enjoys 4 amazing kids. He enjoys athletics and participates in a variety of sports. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Shanyn and their four children. He loves playing with his kids, and coaching them in various sports. In his free time you will find him biking and trail running in the beautiful mountains of northern Utah, where they currently reside.
